Junior Classes (ages 12-15) |

All drivers must be between competition ages (the age a driver attains during a calendar year) of 12-15. Like the 8-12 year old sportsman division, there is a category for Yamaha engines and one for KPV engines and again, the Yamaha class is by far the most popular across the country. Rules are very consistent from track to track or series to series. The Junior category is one of the most competitive and is an excellent training ground for young drivers of all skill levels.
Junior Essentials
Yamaha Junior Lite and Heavy
- Engine: 100cc Yamaha
- Carburetor: Walbro WB3A
- Fuel: gas and oil only
- Minimum weights: 305 lbs. lite, 320 lbs. heavy
- Exhaust: RLV SSX (4-hole)
- Tires: 4.50 x 10-5 (front), 6.0 x 10.5-5 (rear), brand and compound specified by club
KPV Junior Lite and Heavy
- Engine: 100cc IAME KPV
- Carburetor: Walbro WB3A
- Fuel: gas and oil only
- Minimum weights: 310 lbs. Lite, 320 lbs. heavy
- Exhaust: KPV ‘2’ pipe and header
- Tires: 4.50 x 10-5 (front), 6.0 x 10.5-5 (rear), brand and compound specified by club
