Position Description:

We currently have an immediate opening for a full time Kart Assembler. The successful applicant must be proficient with hand tools and be a highly organized and detail oriented person. Responsibilities include all production and prototype kart assembly, race prep of two & four cycle karts, component assembly and some shipping & receiving duties. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Karting experience is required.

  • Assembles all karts to order
  • Performs all sub-assembly work
  • Machine shop experience preferred
  • Must possess own hand tools
  • Must be hands-on, detail oriented & able to work with minimal supervision

Position Description:

Margay is seeking a skilled and motivated office manager who excels in a fast-paced, small business environment and is committed to providing superior customer service.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing relationships with both wholesale and retail customers, including:
    • Answering customer inquiries via phone and web;
    • Processing phone and online sales, and handling follow-up inquiries regarding order status;
    • Monitoring customer payments and initiating follow-up as needed for past-due accounts;
    • Purchasing of shop and office supplies, including:
      • Tracking raw materials and parts inventory and re-ordering as needed to ensure appropriate quantities are on hand;
      • Soliciting multiple bids from vendors to determine best pricing, delivery, service and reliability;
      • Tracking office/shop supplies and re-ordering as needed;
      • Standard bookkeeping for small business, with daily management of receivables and payables;
      • Processing paperwork daily for shipping and receiving.


Qualifications:

The successful candidate will demonstrate a take-charge attitude and the ability to problem-solve with limited guidance. Specific qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position; prior small-business and/or manufacturing experiencer a plus;
  • Extraordinary attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated skill in managing projects with overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.

Candidates with the following work experience will be given preferential consideration:

  • Familiarity with multi-level bills of material and work order processing;
  • Experience with online shopping-cart software and with QuickBooks;
  • Experience with UPS world ship and online credit card processing;
  • Experience working with international customers and suppliers;
  • An interest in motorsports.
