Bridgestone 5 diameter race kart tires
Listed from hardest to softest compound
- YDS - The longest wearing/lowest grip
compound in the Bridgestone line-up. Utilized in many spec tire programs.
- YHC USA - An excellent all-around
compound that provides medium levels of grip combined with excellent longevity. A
universally popular compound that is also utilized in many spec tire programs.
- YGK - Developed specifically as the spec
tire for the Rotax Max challenge, the YGK features a level of grip similar to the YGC yet
is slightly more durable.
- YHB - Slightly softer than the YHC, the
YHB provides medium-high levels of grip while maintaining good longevity. The YHB may have
too much grip for some lower horsepower classes in which case the YHC should be
considered. CIK/FMK homologated.
- YHA - The YHA offers high levels of grip
and is most suited to higher horsepower classes. CIK/FMK homologated.
- YGX Now available, the YGX is the
direct replacement for the YEX compound. The YGX features a very high level of grip with
exceptionally good wear characteristics. The YGX has been the superior tire in
international karting for several years.
- YHP - A tremendous amount of development
has resulted in Bridgestone's best ever rain tire. Whatever the application, the YHP
is the only choice if you are racing in the rain.
- YGR like the YGK, the YGR was
developed as the spec tire for the Rotax Max Challenge. As a spec rain tire, the YGR is
slightly harder than the YGP and is an excellent choice for intermediate conditions.
